Hill Top Holidays is a family run business based in a delightful farmhouse – bits of which date back to the 17th Century – in idyllic North Devon. It is set at the end of a private drive, within nine acres of grounds and woodlands, adjoining open fields, and overlooking the picturesque vista of Bideford Bay.

Our family, the Braunds, have lived in the village of Bucks Mills and Bucks Cross for hundreds of years and our dream came true when we purchased Walland Farm, in one of the most beautiful parts of the country. We love it so much that we decided to share it with you.

We can provide a number of options for a B&B or a self-catering holiday. We have a small woodland walk and are less than a mile away from the woods, the North Devon coastal footpath, the beautiful beach (with golden sand and exciting rockpools), and the glorious rustic village of Bucks Mills, where we have lived for as long as anyone can remember.

Squirrels, jays, woodpeckers and barn owls can be seen daily at Walland Farm, and if you are lucky you might even see one of our shy and elusive red deer! Fishing trips and visits to Lundy Island – home to a dazzling array of seabirds - can be arranged. We can put you in touch with people who arrange scuba-diving, bird watching, rockpooling, and moth trapping, and we can even arrange safaris in search of the mysterious black cat, which is said to haunt the local woodlands.

Although foreign holidays can be great fun, many people are becoming concerned at the environmental degradation caused by international air flights, and over exploitation of resources. Add to that increasing concerns about your safety whilst abroad, and holidaying in the UK starts to seem an ever more attractive proposition. We pride ourselves on being as environmentally responsible as we can, and showcasing the living wonders of the area in which we live.
